Adrian Bertollini of Australia used the Self-Expression and Leadership program he took through Landmark Education as a unique way to promote energy conservation: Through the use of fluorescent light bulbs, particularly in schools and other organizations. Regular Incadescent light bulbs waste as much as 95% of the energy used to fuel them because most of the energy comes out as heat, not light. Each fluorescent bulbs uses up to 75% less energy.

Bertollini has also taken a novel approach to getting fluorescent bulbs out there. He is working with schools and youth organization to change from selling candy bars for fundraising to selling fluorescent light bulbs. Here is a video that shows the importance of what he is up to:
