Landmark Education graduate Ginna Goodenow created a project for kids with an urgent need: prosthetic limbs. Children who have lost limbs need their prosthetic limbs replaced frequently to accomodate their growing bodies, and insurance usually doesn’t cover replacements as often as they are needed. Others can’t afford prosthetic limbs at all, and they grow up unable to walk properly or at all. Goodenow created an annual fundraiser, “Kicking for Kids Who Can’t“, to benefit the Limbs for Life nonprofit group to allow all children to be able to walk and run. The first event raised over $24,000 and paid for prosthetics for 10 children.
